tainside circuit at average
speeds of over 90 mph.

The bulk of the entries for
this Sunday's races will
consist of production based
sports cars and sedans.
These cars, which include

formula cars,

Porsches,
Triumphs, Lotus’. etc., are
fully race prepared machines

. that would put their street

counterparts to shame with
their speed and cornering
power.

The closest racing of the
weekend however, will
probably come from the
which are
open-wheeled, single seaters
designed from the ground up
solely for racing. With the
high speed drafting and
sling-shotting techniques
these cars employ, there are
often five or more of them
contesting the race Jead right
down to the finish.

The most unique facet to
the CKVU weekend is the
fact that it is a full SCCA
(Sports Car Club of
America) National mect,
which means that it will be
