another in a series of brew-
master’s dinners. Sailor
Hagar’s sixth annual is set to
kick off this Saturday (Nov.
18) at 7 p.m. with a “Cask
Conditioned” reception.

The event focuses on a
five-course Hagar dinner
with each course matched to
one of brewmaster Gary
Lohin’s fine ales.

from the Vancouver

ing at the early history of

organization's scholarship

Les Dames d*Escoftier
provides bursaries to women
pursuing careers in the culi-
nary and hospitality fields.

The organization has
provided approximately
$40,000 in bursaries since it
was established in 1995.
