National accreditation standards for health
care services and evaluates the organization's
compliance with them. The accreditation
program is voluntary, independent of
government agencies, and organized and
administered by health care professionals.

the highest honour granted to a
Canadian health care facility.

The results of the survey, announced by
Susan Rushton, Administrator at Capilano
Care Centre, were recently received from
Elma G. Heidemann, Executive Director of
the CCHSA. The correspondence noted:
