emergency incidents.

September 13
1. Main & Mountain.

Police responded to cali
from persons restraining an
impaired driver at PetroCan
gas station. Motor vehicle
accident had taken place near-
by. Driver at fault tried to leave
the scene. Adult male arrested,
providing two breath samples,
210 and 200. The legal limit is
89 or 08. He was charged
with impaired driving.

September 30

2. Coach House Hotel

Police called as two very
intoxicated males were argu-
ing over keys to a truck. One
male had taken keys and
thrown them away from truck
to prevent owner from driving
impaired. The truck owner,
very intoxicated, was arrested
for being drunk in a public
place and also to prevent him
from committing the offence.

October 5
3. Dollarton Hwy. near
Amherst Dr.

- Police called to motos vehi-
cle accident. A 1990 Jaguar
was in ditch and driver
impaired by alcohol. Driver
arrested and provided two

RCMP officer pulled over
vehicle that appeared to be dri-
ven by someone impaired.
Driver, 23, had strong odor of
liquor on his breath. Refused
roadside breath test.
Suspended from driving for 24

5. 100-bik East 3rd.

Police officer observed
vehicle weaving back and forth
across center line. When
stopped, car was driven up
onto sidewalk. Female driver
got out and almost stumbled

into traffic. Strong odor of

liquor was detected. Driver
arrested and sent to RCMP
cells. Charged with impaired
driving and refusal to provide
breath samples.

6. Kei

Police officer spotted vehi-
cle travelling at a very hi;
rate of spced. Stopped vehicle,
one 27-year-old male driver
exhibited strong signs of

impairment. Arrested and -
brought to police station,
where he provided two sam-
ples of breath, 170 and 190.
Suspended for 24 hours and
his vehicle, a 1987 Mustang,
towed.
