Canadian of the bunch, is proud of
the fact that instead it refers to his

Recovery and Towing Hall of Fame
in Las Vegas.

towing and recovery industry.

His induction came as no sur-
prise considering the 74-year-old
North Vancouver resident started his
career in {948 with Buster's Towing.
In. fact it was Buster himself that
hired him and paid him 75 cents per
hour. Later he moved to ICBC
where he was the only one in the
Corporation's history to ever hold
the post of Towing and Storage
Manager — a job that took him all
over B.C, at all times of the day and
night — until his retirement in 1985.

“I've got a son in the business
now,” said Dickison adding that he
passed on some of the values that
made him a hall of fame towing pro-
fessional. “He won't lie around and
wait for someone to park illegally
and then grab it.”
