opener Sept. 21 when the Biues
easily managed a 6-1 victory over

BCIT.

Cap team places in top three

CAPILANO COLLEGE men’s
soccer team finished in the top
three of an eight-team tournament
held in Sacramento, California
over the weekend.

On Friday night Capilano Col-
lege played against Irvine College
of Los Angeles, Matt Humphries
scored two goals while Paul Dailly
scored one to defeat Irvine Col-
lege 3-1.

On Saturday, Capilano: College
played American River College
from Sacramento which proved to
be the Blues’ toughest opponent.

Although Capilano College car-
tied well over 90% of the attack,
American River College held on
with their defensive shell and
waited for a iast-minute opportu-
nity to score on a free kick in the
last 30 seconds of the game.
American River College won the
game 1-0.
