Answer: Yes, there should be
some relief for you when you ap-
ply for the Spouse’s Allowance.
This is an allowance that can be
paid to someone who is between
the ages of 60 and 64 and married
to an Old Age Security pensioner,
if your income as a couple is
limited. (It can also be paid to
widowed people of 60 to 64 with
limited incomes.)

You will have to make an ap-
plication to Health and Welfare
Canada and they will want you to
list all vour source: of income such
2s private pension, bank interest
on savings and so on. You will
have to reapply each year for this
allowance to continue until your
own Canada Pension Plan pension
starts when you reach 65.
