" In his own words: ‘ihe application of image transformation allows me to incorporate in the final pic- ture a sense of the deeper thoughts and sensations associated with the subject.*” The display is ap- propriately entitled: To Ponder Over Creation and The Joy of Life. Brears is an artist in every sense of the word and believes in the ‘‘concentrated one shot’ approach. He is presently a member of the North Club. A fusion of East and West is expressed in Sutherland's art. She is an internationally acclaimed artist who draws on her experiences in the Far East, Africa, Europe and the Guif Islands to establish an unparalleled sense of har- mony in her creations. Her innovative use of a variety of mediums, such as handmade paper, fabrics, natural pigments and acryl- ics, form a cohesive balance on the flat surface of a can- vas, Sutherland is a graduate of a number of well established schools of art in Canada and the United Kingdom.
