Two of the young Canadians he remembers spending time with were a couple known as “Beans” and “Susie,” who lived in a “modern crescent- shaped house” in a wooded area of West Van. He remem- bers Beans as working for a solicitor and Susie as a teacher. He first met them when he invited them aboard the ship Loch Avon, and now he and his wife Anne would like to visit them again on an upcoming visit to Vancouver.
