PHOTO PROCESSING SPEEDS UP

Mas Yamamoto looks a bit tired as he talks

about the workings

of a one-hour

photo

processing franchise in the back room of his
Capilano Mall store. The long hours and constant
pressure of a 60 minute deadline make him ap-
preciate a cup of tea all the more.

Yamamoto was a research
scientist before he took a
gamble on the latest marvel
of Japanese technology, the
one-hour photo processor.

The machine attracts a
crowd at all hours of the day
as people watch it churn out
print after print. It is the
newest example of
