By the end of November there had been 251 break-ins in the area north of the Upper Levels highway and west of Lonsdale Avenue, as compared to last year's total of 119. RCMP spokesmen say the majority of the break-ins are occuring during the day atl residences rather than businesses, with jewellery being the main target. Only a third of the break- ins this year have been solved by police to date. RCMP Constable Sean Murphy says.
