On the men’s side, striker Tony
Mobitio and midfielder Nico Berg
finished two-three respectively in
selection to the All Conference
first team. Berg, a member of the
Vancouver 86ers reserve squad, is
considered by many to be a key
ingredient to the future of
Canada’s national soccer team.
Mobilio, a three-year veteran with
the Blues, scored a hat-trick and
was named game MVP earlier in
the season in Capilano’s annual
President’s Cup match against
BCIT.

Capilano Blues’ striker Silvana
Burtini was the No. 1 selection to
the women’s All Conference first
team. Hurtini, a national team
member, finished regular season
play with 12 goals in six league
games. Among her many ac-
complishments in soccer, the 23-
year-old kinesiology student
founded a soccer school in her
home town of Williams Lake,
B.C.
