for honeymooners

(UPD - Nursing homes don’t
usually offer co-ed rooms for
their residents, but the
Windsor Care Center of
Cedar Falls changed its
policy this week to ac-
commodate its first
honeymoon couple.

For the first time in the
home’s 16-year history, two
of its residents - Gorda
Smalley, 74, and Jim
Puckett, 98 had their
marriage ceremony,
reception and honcymoon at
the Windsor Care Center.

About 70 of the couple's
fricnds from the Windsor
center gathered in the dining
hall where the couple ex-
changed vows.

After the ceremony and
an enthusiastic hiss for the
bride from her new husband,
the couple was given a
traditional reception with
punch and cake and a “Just

PARIS (UPD) - The king of
Paris fashion. Yves Saint
Laurent, made it official
Wednesday - miniskirts are
back.

But Saint Laurent also
showed his classic casual
suits and dresses at mid-knee
and longer and paraded
numerous trouser outfits,
indicating fashion was giving
a wide choice to women who
are not interested in baring
most of their legs.

Saint Laurent’s switch to
minis - the short skirt that
was the fashion craze in the
late 1960's - was expected to
persuade international
buyers gathered in Paris for
a series of fashion shows to
stock shorter skirts in their
stores.

The Saint Laurent pleated
swung and feminine un-
derwear flashed when the
models twirled at the
designer showing which
closed the spring ready-to-
wear collections

There were mini
ballooning dresses in
blindingly white cotton and a
polka dotted mini, with a
crenalleted hem. The
prettiest mini was a black,
full pleated skirt and white
blouse with collar banded in
black over a perky black
bow.

Saint Laurent bared more
than legs. Long gowns
displayed one nude
shoulder. Two bare midriff
dresses had tight, short skirts
tied in front in huge bows.

Another new look was his
loose, full Moorish evening

cotton dangling with tasseled
cords and heavy Middle
Eastern jewelry. Long
scarves hung diagonally over
the body and ended up as
head wrappings. Other long,
wrapped dresses came in
gleaming gold lame com-
bined with orange or rose.
