The new breed

RITING A JOKING PIECE the other
day about Superman got me: thinking
back to a period in my fife when, like

millions before, I was enthralled by the German
philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.

TOO MANY vicious
dogs running loose in
West Vancouver
District almost resulted
in council Monday ac-
cepting a proposal
which might have meant
immediate death for all
dogs that attack people.

could have killed any dog
which was attacking or

Council’s consideration of
acquiring power to deal with
dangerous dogs follows a
number of recent dog attacks
on people in B.C.
communities.

According to Municipal
Clerk Doug .Allan, the ex-
isting legislation under the
Dog, Tax and Pound Bylaw
does not give council effec-
tive power to deal with
vicious dogs.
