Hanley is chairman of a citizens’ referendum committee which also in- cludes Dr. Marlene Hunter. The committee is taking up council's suggestion made at the time when it rejected the request for a referendum, that “each and every citizen of this comminity make their views individually known to the prime minister who, through the parliament, can make the views known of all Canadians."
