On display

It’s easy to see that art is
going to be a very important
part of Victor Boehm’s life..
His drawings are presently
being displayed in the

children’s department, of the .

West Vancouver Memorial
Library.

Victor. ‘is a 14-year-old
student of Caulfeild School.
He started drawing as a
hobby about three years ago.
Outer space. is his
dominating interest. The
brilliantly colored poster
that he painted of a space
man is very interesting
because of the ancient axe
the spaceman is holding. It’s
as if he is symbolizing the

Legion hosts veterans

Disabled veterans from
the George Derby Centre
and the long term care
section of the Shaughnessy
Hospital were entertained
recently to lunch by North
Vancouver Legion Branch
118 — one of four such

transition from ‘medieval

age. It is an extremely
thought provoking and
powerful painting.

Victor says of the

him up to look ‘more space

Victor also likes “Gar -
field” the cat and: ‘he has
filled a book of .cartoons
about “Garfield.”

An experiment that “just
kind of happened” turned

once command the interest
of the viewer.

He likes to draw animals
and birds, or anything that
attracts his eyes and his
imagination. One day when
‘he was bored he sat down
and drew “The Iron Fist.”
