in North Vancouver proyin-
cial court on june 10:

Douglas Benson, 53, of
North Vancouver, was fined
$250 after he pleaded not
guilty to impaired, but instead
pleaded guilty to the lesser or
included offence of disobey-
ing a red light. The original
charge stemmed from a Feb.
17, 1995, incident in North
Vancouver City.

William David McInnes,
20, of North Vancouver, was
jailed 30 days and received
12 months’ probation after he

six months’ probation after he
pleaded guilty to assaulting a
man on Aug. 19, 1995, in
North Vancouver District.

Gianni was required to
perform 60 hours of commu-
nity work service.
