One such supporter is Hans
Krause. a former president of both
the West Vancouver-Howe Sound
and West Vancouver-Garibaldi rid-
ing associations, Krause is not con-
cerned about the opposition to
Mitchell's move te independence.

way to go,” he said.

Krause noted that in the Liberal
leadership race, Mitchell supported
Gordon Gibson rather than
Campbelt.

“Thereafter, { think he knew he
was a marked man in the eyes of
Gordon Campbell.”

At this point, Mitchell doesn’t
think returning to the Liberal party
would serve any useful purpose.

He said he does not want to be
strictly driven by partisan consider-
ations.
