The classic doll will be given a new set of clothes just in time for the holidays, and children can watch it all happen at West Van- couver Recreation Centre as West Vancouver Little Theatre’s Christmas production gets under way. Raggedy Ann's Christmas is the story of regeneration shared by Raggedy Ann and her friends. “The story takes place on Christmas Eve when the owner of Raggedy Ann and the other dolls goes to sleep.’’ explains director and writer Mary Caple. The dolls, upset that they have become worn and tattered with time, get a new look from Santa Claus. ‘‘He comes to fix the dolls. Raggedy Ann gets a new apron, the clowns get new faces, and the tin soldier is oiled. In the end they look as good as new.”” The play stars Amy Cross as Raggedy Ann, Kyla Reveley as Raggedy Andy; Mireille Lebet as Babette; Marie Kerns as the Camel with Wrinkled Knees; Rebecca Webster as the Clown; Charlie Decoste as the Tin Soldier; Emily Kay as Fido the puppy and Tanya MacPherson as Santa Claus. Co-directed by Micn Van Heek, the play opens Dec. 22 and runs Dec. 23, 29, and 30 at I and 3:30 p.m. There will be a Friday Dec. 28 performance at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4, obtainable from the Rec- reation Centre.
