The University Women's
Club of West Vancouver
held a dinner recently at the
Hollyburn Country Club to
celebrate the
niversary of the Founding of
the West Vancouver
Branch.

The keynote speaker after
the dinner was Margaret
Strongitharm of Nanaimo
who is the new President of
the Canadian Federation of
University Women. Usually
Presidents of the Canadian
Federation live in- Eastern
Canada so we are very
pleased that our new
President lives on the West

evening was the en-
tertainment, in which first a
group of founding members
amused us with stories of
those early meetings in
members’ homes & then a
group of present day
members gave their version

‘of what the club will be like
‘in another 25 years.

The next meeting, of the
club will be on Monday,
September 20th at 7:45 pm
in the lounge of the West
Vancovuer United Church.
All women graduates of any
university are welcome to

attend.

The fees are only $18 per
year and for this we not only
hear an interesting speaker
every month, but also are
eligible to join a variety of
interest groups such as
Bridge, Book groups, An-
tiques, Jaunters &
munity Affairs.

Next spring they hope to
host a workshop on “Home

Computers” and. in the past.

have organized courses such
as “Money Management for
Women.”
