Two people from each of the
cight-member teams participate in
each activity. According to
Klemke, each icam has a minimum
of two female members, and he
says ‘that’s where the real strategy
is...deciding where to pul your
women in,”’

Because he said real estate teams
analyse each other's positioning
decisions, Klemke declined to give
details on this year’s strategy until
the completion of the race.

Klemke encourages the public to
come and watch the action.

“It’s a tremendous spectator
sport,’’ he said. ‘tEach event is
well-planned so the spectators can
watch the whole thing."

Those wishing to watch the race
should be at the top of the gondola
by the 3 p.m. start.

Sussex Realty’s Karen Monsar-
fat says there will also be a raffle
for cash prizes of $250, $100 and
$50.

Monsarrat says the first Grouse
Mountain realtors’ race was in-
stigated by Joe Lloyd, a North
Vancouver realtor with the Sution
Group.

Crest Realty came second in last
year’s race. This year, they will be
competing again, along with Sut-
ton, Sussex, Canada Trust, Bell,
Henley and Associates, Royal
LePage and Block Bros.

The event will be followed by a
dinner dance for the realtors. The |
dinner will be held in the Grouse |
Nest Restaurani on Grouse Moun-
tain.
