Guess described as a habitual flirt

CROWN attorney Joe Bellows recalled witness
Cynthia Hayes after Gillian Guess’ attorney
Peter Ritchie hinted Hayes’ testimony could be
partly fabricated.

During his cross-examination of Guess’ former friend on Wednesday, Ritchie
asked her if she cou!d confirm whether ali the information she was waving to the
court came trom Guess.

“Is my fiend (Ritchie) saving to the jury everything, Ms. Guess said to Ms.
Hayes is a fabrication?” Bellows asked Justice Raymond Paris, “LE can’t beheve
my friend (Ritchie) would juxtapose this question.”

Guess was 2 yuror in a 1993 murder trial and allegedly became intimately
involved with one of the accused, Parjeet (Peters Gill, during that tial, Gil and
five Other men were acquitted of the murders of Ron and fim Dosanjh. Cress
was charged with obstruction of justice for her alleged “relationship” with Peter
Gill.

When Bellows re-examined Hayes on Thursday morning, he asked her if she
thought Guess was prone to embellishing the fh

“No, considering the description she gave of him (Pageet “Peter” Gill), and
how things evolved over a period of time,” Hayes said. She (Ciuess) said she
couldn’t believe she was so stupid (for getting involved).”

Hayes abo told the court on Wednesday that Guess was a habitual flirt.
