District (GVRD) drinking water facilities planned
for Cleveland Dam in the Capilano River
Regional Park.

Beginning in late 1998, the GVRD is planning to
construct new drinking water facilities at
Cleveland Dam. Projects include a new ozone

Ff imary disinfection plant, a corrosion control
facility, and a seepage control blanket adjacent to
the dam.

These projects are part of the GVRD’s efforts to
upgrade the region’s drinking water facilities and
to ensure a safe and reliable water supply that
meets Federal and Provincial drinking water
quality standards. GVRD Water Department staff
will be on hand at the open house to provide
information and answer your questions.
