It is a simple Craftsman shingle-
clad bungalow with one of the most
prominent features being the seimi-
circular arch entry with a keystone.

' The original structure. was built
in 1913 by Thomas S. Nye. In
1914, the owners were Thomas Nye
and Edith J. Stevens. _—

In 1915 Edith-Stevens was the
owner. She was Thomas Nye’s sec-
retary and worked at his Upper
Lonsdale real estate office, located
at 3311 Lonsdale Avenue.

This office is now a private
home which I will illustrate at a

Jater date. Stevens lived at this .

home on Windsor Road for many
years and was a very community-
minded person.

Edith Stevens was recognized
by all as a beautiful person and was
well known for her big hats and
elegant clothes which she made for
herself. She was also generous in
gifts to others.

The new owners of this heritage
home have spent considerable time
and energy to restore this home on
the inside.
