His business, located at 1425 Marine Drive, has dropped so he has decided to try to draw customers to his store by holding a No Sidewalk Sale Aug. 13. Said Matheson: ‘‘The revitaliza- tion is hurting my business, but it’s something that is needed, We've needed it for years.’’ The merchant has hired a Dix- ieland band to play in the street during the morning. The band will serenade the Royal Hudson at ap- proximately 10:40 am. as it passes by his store near 14th Street. Matheson says the train will slow down to take the jazzy salute. He’s also hired several young people who will be wearing hard hats to dispense free lemonade and orange juice to Ambleside patrons.
