Some commercial areas such as Horseshoe Bay, Ambleside and Dundarave have their roots in West Vancouver’s carly days, but are working hard to keep up with the times. Population in West Vancouver increased slightly from 35,728 to 36,266. The number of private house- holds in both North Vancouver ci- ty and district comes to 40,500, with an average household con- sisting of 2.5 people.
