NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of North Van-
couver pursuant to Section 957 of the Municipal Act
of British Columbia, that a Public Hearing will be heid
on MONDAY, JULY 27, 1987 at 7:30 PM. in the Coun-
cil Chamber of the City Halt, 141 West 14th Street,
North Vancouver, B.C. to receive representations in
connection with the following proposed amendmenis
to the “Zoning By-law, 1967". and the “Zoning Map
of the City of North Vancouver" which is an integral
part thereof:

BYLAW NO. 5821

‘fo amend the text of the CD-83 Zone in the Zoning
By-law pertaining to Lots 1-4, Block 5.D.L. 265, Plan
1406, as indicated in hatched pattern below, located
al 875-895 West 16th Street, to permit changes in
unit mix and gross floor area.

The proposed by-law will revise the unit mix of 1, 2
and 3 bedroom units and make provision for a minor
increase in gross floor area from 1.3 to 1.32.

The amending by-law will regulate the use, size,

street parking requirements; location and screening
of refuse containers; provide for the installation of
landscaping and maintenance, and control the height
of on-site landcaping to ensure adequate sightlines
for motorists at the intersections of driveways, streets
and/or Janes. The by-law will limit the height, set-
backs, lot coverage and gross floor area of the prin-
cipal buildings, and provide specific variations with
tespect to canopy projections and separation of
bedroom windows.’

it pertains to the CS-2 Service Station Commercial

Zone.

The proposed by-law will delete the term “Retail Ser-
vice Group 2 Use" and add a new provision for “Ac-
cessory Service Station Use’, to permit, as an ac-
cessory use incidental to the service sation use, the
sale at retail af tobacco products, confectioneries
saci as chewing gum, chocolate bars and potato
chips, soft drinks, magazines, ice in block or cube
form, barbecue briquets and starter materials, fire
logs (Presto logs) and chemical logs, sunglasses and
newspapers, and excludes the sale of any form of
alcoholic beverage.
