to Windsor Meats.

Store owner Bill Richwa said the
money was raised through the sale
of hot dogs, coffee and soft drinks
at the store Saturday, Nov. 7.

The West Vancouver store,
which celebrates its 20th anniver-
sary this week, has always prided
itself on being a family business.

Owner Bill Richwa, who bought
the operation 16 years ago, recent-
ly went into partnership with his
son-in-law Peter Makelke. .

with the product quality-wise,’’ he
said.

operation like chain stores.

Richwa said the store has had to
fight the image of being a specialty
shop, adding he prefers to regard it
as a home town butcher shop, of-

competitive Richwa does regular

Windsor Meats, which employs
a staff of six, is in the location
where it first opened at 18th and
Marine Drive 20 years ago.

To celebrate its anniversary, the
store is holding special features
throughout the week. Free draw
