‘Police seek purse thieves WEST VANCOUVER police are looking for two men who snatched a purse Friday night. The two, both in their early 20s, grappled with a woman in the parking lot of the Park Royal Hotel just after 8 p.m. Both fled south after tearing the purse from the woman’s grasp, setting off an unsuccessful search of the area by police and tracking dogs. Both men are described as five feet, seven inches tall and of medium build. One has sandy blonde hair, the other is dark. Ross Regan it’s a matter of sitting back and waiting for the results of his court challenge of School District 44’s decision to ratify a 1984 contract with its teachers. Regan, the only school trustee to vote against the motion to approve the con- tract and controversial clauses covering teacher seniority presented his case to the B.C. Supreme Court Thursday. “*It was a long and tedious affair,” says Regan of the day in court. ‘‘Both sides presented their side and now we just have to sit and wait for the results.”’ Regan said Justice Patricia Proudfoot, who is hearing his application to have the school board decision over- turned, has not indicated when a decision will come down.
