“A GREEN waste composting pro-
gram administered by the Greater
Vancouver Regional District
(GVRD) has been launched on the
North Shore.

The GVRD has established a
green waste collection facility next
to its solid waste transfer station
at 30 Riverside Dr.,’ North Van-
couver, just east of the Second
Narrows Bridge.

It will accept material from
West Vancouver, North . Van-
couver District and North Van-
couver City residents without
charge for the first 500 kilograms.

Another five municipalities —~
Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port
Moody, Pitt Meadows and Mats-
qui:— will consider joining the
GYRD program this summer.
