agenda. The report highlights fiscal inequalities

between the municipalities for shared services. Adding

North Vancouver City Council has stated repeatedly it’s not interested in joining

forces with the district. When the issue arose last year, city councillors said city tax-

payers would be shortchanged by amalgamation, because the district carries a larg-

er debt load. On the other hand, wouldn’t one municipal government be more
cost-effective over time?
