Man appears
on theft charge

A 44-YEAR-OLD man of no fixed
address appeared Aug. 15 in North
Vancouver provincial court to face
four criminal charges, including
theft over $1,000 and dangerous
driving causing bodily harm.

Fred Rainer Deutsch was origi-
nally charged following an Aug. 11
incident in which he is alleged to
have stolen a truck belonging to
Imperial Parking Ltd.

He also faces (wo counts of fail-
ing to stop at the scene of an acci-
dent in connection with a subse-
quent accident in which two people
were allegedly injured.

Appearing before Judge JK.
Shaw, Deutsch was ordered to
undergo psychiatric examination
and was remanded to Sept. t4 fer
his next court appearance.
