But before the owner of North Vancouver's Avalon Hotel does that he wants to set the record straight. Last week, Hutchinson received word that a human nghts council decision has dismissed a complaint by a former employee charging him with sexual assault. Although it took the council more than a year to reach its verdict, it mirrors the decision delivered in B.C. Supreme Court in 1996 over similar alle- gations. “Pm just glad it’s over and Pve been vindicated in these tribunals or forums,” said Ffutchinson, a father of tive. “] won this thing in criminal court and naw I've won it in the human rights (council ).~ The human rights council decision, 243 page document, was whiten by Douglas Eastwood, the council member who heard the complaint dunng its 19-day hearing.
