Wrestling B.C., the sport's
provincial organizing agent, had
the North Vancouver school num-
ber-one in both boys and girls
triple-A rankings last week.

The boys’ squad, ranked seventh
in pre-season polls, recently host-
ed, and won, the Capilano invite,
building on early tournament victo-
ries at the SFU-Coke Classic and
the Port Moody Duals.

The Eagles’ success bounced
Abbotsford's Yale from their sea-
son-long perch atop the standings.
Carson wrestler Justin Kapil was
named the Invite’s outstanding
senior boys’ wrestler.

The Eagles* girls’ team, mean-
while, continues to dominate its
competition, with Audrey Yap and
Angela Lacy living up to pre-sea-
son billing as two. of the best
female high school wrestlers in the
country.
