of the short

THE LPEC Society
for Short Stature
Awareness will be
hosting its annual
conference and general
meeting this month.

The event is April 23, 24
and 25 in Richmond.

LPBC is a non-profit
organization for individuals
who for medical’ or genetic
reasons, arc 4710” and under
in height.

The organization offers
social and informational sup-
port to individuals of short
stature.

Highlights of the week-
end include a special presen-
tation and workshop by Dr.
Judith Hall, recent recipient
of the Order of Canada and
head of the department of
pediatrics at the University
of British Columbia and
B.C.’s Children’s Hospital.

Other activities include
fitness workshops, social
activities and a fashion show.
Individuals affected by short
stature and their friends and
family are welcome to
attend.
