BCFC spokesman Pat Stevens said the Queen of Cowichan, which sormally ruas on the Horseshoe Bay-to-Langdale route, broke down on Thursday. The Queen of Oak Bay, which normally services the Horseshoe Bay-to-Nanaimo route, was subsequently pulled off that route and put on the Hurseshoe Bay-to-Langdale run. Friday was also the start of the BCFC’s summer schedule, which doubles the number of ferries operating along the Horse- shoe Bay-to-Nanaimo route irom two to four. But Stevens said because one of the four Horseshoe Bay-to- Nanaimo ferries had to be pressed into service on the Horseshoe Bay-to-Langdale run, the ferry corporation was expecting large line-ups Friday at its West Vancouver and Nanzime terminals. “30's like a car when you want to go travelling, they (ferries) always break down when you least want them to."” ‘The Queen of Cowichan was back in service on Saturday mor- ning.
