Following a morning dorkside ceremony, the vessel Emerald Coast Joaded 32,000 sheets of the JAS-stamped plywood. All B.C. plywood bound for Japan prior to the Aug. 23 ship- Ment has had to undergo inspec- tion upon its arrival in Japan to ascertain whether it met stringent Japanese plywood standards. The Aug. 23 shipment was pro- duced by Federated Co-Operatives Ltd. and Crown Interior Wood Products. The two B.C. mills are among six now approved by the Japanese to ship pre-stamped ylywood to Japan, which is B.C.’s secoud largest forest products ex- port market, - Make an Impression...
