High School Skiing Championships held on North Star Mountain in Kimberley March 12 to 13. Handsworth and Howe Sound were eighth and ninth in the boys’ standings while Sutherland and Handsworth were 11th and 12th in girls’ totals. Paul Hetherington of Windsor and David Hawkshaw of Sutherland were 11th and 12th in overall combined times. Hetherington was eighth in slalom and 34th in giant slalom.
