Calling all CUSOs

CUSO IS SEARCHING for its
9,000 returned volunteers and its
contacts in the 65 countries that
organization has worked in since
1961.

They are to be honored on June
6, 1986 — the 25th anniversary of
CUSO. The international!
development agency was originally
known as Canadian University
Overseas.

A major fundraising dinner is
being held on Friday, June 6 at the
Fraser Flamingo Chinese Restau-
rant. Guest speakers are three local

heroes who have contributed much
to the organization, at different
times and in different ways, during
the past 25 years.

The three are:

Brian Marson who is currently
controller general for the province
of B.C. He was the first chairman
of the CUSO committee at the
University of B.C. in 1961 and
went on to hold staff positions in
Ottawa and India;

Diane MacKenzie who is cur-
rently coordinator of the Queen
Charlotte Islands Health Care

by Mr. Donald Nash, President of Multifund Investments
Ltd. Over the past few months Mr. Nash has been in
Tokyo, Zurich, London and Hong Kong, researching the
emerging opportunities of international investing in these

foreign markets.

At the conclusion of Mr. Nash's presentation, there will be

Ghana and later CUSO  coor-
dinator in B.C. in the mid 1970's;

Chryse Gibson who is currently
a member of carpenters union

local 452, represents the CUSO of

the future. A skilled technical per-
son, she spent 8 months in
Nicaragua organizing a carpentry
school. She continues to assist
CUSO through speaking engage-
ments,

being held on Saturday June 7, at
International House, University of
B.C.
