another
ambulance

A FULL-TIME ambulance
station got provincial govern-
ment go ahead West Van-
couver District council learn-
ed Monday

The new ambulance stand
will be located at 14th Street
and Bellevue Avenue.

However, just when the
ambulance will go into ser-
vice has not yet been
announced.

The provincial govérnment
decision comes after pressure
from West Van council! and
emergency organizations.

A recent submission from
the municipality argued that
another ambulance was need-

freedom of the district.
Giving the cadets
freedom of the district,
the right to march
through the district with
drums beating, flags fly-
ing and bayonets fixed,
continues a centuries-old
tradition in recognizing
the unit's record and
demonstrating the affec-
tion and esteem the unit
is held in by residents.
Ceremonies later in
the day also marked a
change of command with
Major W.A.S. White
