Enrolment up for job related studies

MOTIVATED by the hope
ot improving their chances
for employment, adult
students are enrolling heavily
in the job-related programs
offered by North Shore Con-
uunuing Education.

Many of the courses in
computer programming,
secretarial training, early
childhood education,
welding, business manage-
ment — even florist training
— are now full and addi-
tional classes have been

Continuing Education Cen-
tre, at 2132 Hamilton

fers nine foreign languages,
plus English as a second
language.

tor, Doug Ledgerwood said,
“Our students are obviously
preparing themselves for the
economic recovery we. all

them with the skills they need
to get better jobs and higher
incomes when the employ-
ment picture improves.’’
