18-year-old North Van resi-
dent, killed in an accident
Saturday in Squamish, were
held Tuesday at Vancouver
Unitarian Church.

Robert Gordon Smith, of
106-545 St. Georges Avenue,
was driving southbound on
Highway 99 when he lost

control on slippery surface,
police said.

The driver plunged over
the embankment at Leskies
railroad crossing and the
vehicle, a 74 Ford truck,
pinned the youth who was
partially ejected during the
incident, according to police
reports. :
