Disabled diver to teach MAKO SPGRT Divers owner Bob Martin was recently presented with a challenge by Vancouver’s Lenny Marriot. Marriot, a one-legged swimmer, came to Martin with ambitions of becoming a diving instructor. That was a few months ago. Now, Marriot is well on his way to reaching his goal and will be trav- elling to Victoria in November to undergo 10 days of testing to receive his inscructor’s certifica- tion. “They're going to be watching me like a hawk, I feel --’but that’s fine,’’ said Marriot. **There are certainly hurdles he has had to cover,”’ said Martin, noting that the training involves rescuing other divers from the Don’t miss it!
