The man also had a history ’ of disobeying court orders, according to a _ police spokesman. . Police were called to the park by a witness using a cel- lular phone. ¢ North Vancouver RCMP recommended charges against both the man and woman. Lawyers at the North Vancouver Crown - office declined to have the couple charged with criminal offences as recommended by police investigators. No charges will be laid relating to the incident in North Vancouver. No names were released by police. The officer must fill out a Tire Replacement Request form and send it to the Tire -Integrity Unit, fo Pick up a tire at a city vehicle mainte- nance facility, take it to a city- approved vendor to have it . put on, take the old tire Gack to the police garage, ani !ve the precinct commander sign the Tire Replacement Request form certifying that the new tre is actually on the car. In 1995, the last year for which figures were available, NYPD salaries during tire- changing = was nearly $500,000. The Nova Scotia Gaming Controf Commission formally banned the popular charity fund-raiser “cow patty bingo,” in which a promoter marks a field into squares, takes bets, and then releases a recently fed cow to “select” a winning square. The commission believed the game could be rigged by training a cow to use a partic- ular spot in the field. The next day, incoming. Each micro air vehicle carrics cam- eras, sensors, transmitters and antennas. eee A judge in Doncaster, England released suspect Martin Kamara, 43, a black man who had been accused of threatening a financial adviser, because of police impropriety. Cops wanted to put Kamara in a lineup for identi- fication, but because of recent racial incidents, no black men could be found who were willing to stand alongside Kamara. _So Doncaster police hired a makeup artist to put black faces on seven white men for the lineup. (However, the artist forgot to make up the men’s hands.) The Wall Sereet Journal — reports that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ordered 71 mining companies in Idaho to submit copies of ail of the paperwork they have pro- duced in the last 117 years. EPA says it .needs- the information to help deter- mine who is responsible for lead pollution in Idaho’s Silver Valicy. According to the president of one firm, the order was so crazy that the EPA investigators “must not live on this planet.” Another pointed out that there are not cnough copy machines in the region to handle the work. eee? Des Moines, lowa — Four young men were recently arrested for trespassing and attempting to remove tires from a vehicle at a car-auction lot. Owner Dan Carney had seen the men enter the lot late at night on his security camera and hopped on_ his. forklift. - He picked up the men’s get- away car and hid it inside a building.
