Euorpean influenced styles
featuring black and white
contrasts, and some vivid
Oriental silks such as a pair
of beautiful cocktail dresses
— one red, and one green —
floating among the lunch
tables as a reminder of the
festive season to come.

Most of the designs were
simple, relying on detail to
catch the eye. Lace insets on
bodice and forearm for ex-
ample add distinction to a
simple black two-piece
overblouse and pleated skirt,
and different combinations
of pleats compliment dresses
and blouses. Even a stand-up
collar or single ruffle is often
enough to take a garment out
of the realm of ordinary and
lift it into the world of
distinction.

trouser outfits. One in black
and red, with a flowing black
silk jacket sculptured with
dragons trimmed with red
piping atop a red camisole,
and black silk pants fastened
with a red cummerbund.
Very dashing.

What jewellery does one
wear to complement these
lavish outfits? Luis Carrazon
had just the thing.

A long string of pearls to
top an emerald green silk
dress was embellished with an
emerald and diamond clasp.
To go with it, hands could be
adorned by either a gorgeous
high standing emerald and
diamond ring or a ring con-
cocted of pearls, diamonds,
and lots of gold.

Wednesday, November 2,

cheon fashion show will] be

following week the Swiss
