Tthink you should five reversed them, We need to get at the root causes of violence, rather than overly memoriatizing its unfortu- nate victims. In discussing the mon- ument project with my business associates, both male and femate, none believe that an edifice of any kind is going to reduce violence in our society. We agreed that the money would be better spent on education programs that specifically address the managing of anger, or raising the awareness of everyone to be alert for and report family situa- tions, no matter where they occur, j resent the “male-bashing” position taken by many of the mon- ument’s proponents, and would like le reassare men that this atitude is nut representative of the majority of women in society today.
