Events planned
for demo forest

NATIONAL FOREST Week
: comes to the North Shore’s
i Seymour Demonstration Forest,

Sunday, May 6.

The special event will include
displays and demonstrations, the
Imagination Workshop, guided
tours, prizes and a chance to meet
Smokey The Bear, Gerry The
Moose and Rikki Recycle.

Visitors will also have an oppor-
tunity to chow down in the rain-
forest on world-famous Seymour
Burgers, as prepared at the Mt.
Seymour Lions Club concession
stand.

An official National Forest
Week ceremony will take place at |
p.m. and will include repre-
sentation by federal, provincial,
local government and industry
representatives.

Park at Capilano College and
free shuttle buses will travel to and
from the demonstration forest
continually between 10 a.m. and 4

p.m.

Lillooet Road, north of the
North Vancouver cemetery, will be
closed to motorists on the day of
the event.
