Nova Scotia and is a snap to make.

I love it with a big spoonful of
whippe:' cream on top, hot from
the oven. The cream melts and
drips down the sides of the ginger-
bread making one of those gooey
messes that kids of all ages adore.

Gingerbread
Y2 cup mergarise
Ya cup sugar
1 cup table molasses
1 egg, beaten
2¥2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1% teaspoons baking seda
¥2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon each, ginger and cin-
namon
V4 teaspoon cloves
1 cup hot waiter

Whip margarine, sugar,
molasses and egg together until
fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together
and add. Beat until smooth.

Add hot water and beat. Turn
into a greased, 9’ X 9” cake pan
and bake at 350F about 35
minutes.

Serve hot, cut in squares and
topped with whipped cream,
