Beaudoin offers the following
advice for North Shore com-
muters crossing the Burrard
Inlet:
Motorists should arrange travel!
plans to take place outside of
peak hours when possible.
Less cars on the read at rush
hours will help in reducing
road congestion and delays.
Both North Shore bridges

handle 186,000 vehicles every
24 hours.

Those numbers alone
should indicate to motorists
that there is good reason to
consider alternate modes of
transportation.

Commuters are encouraged
to use buses and the SeaBus to
get to Vancouver. The HOV
lanes with the appropriate
number of people inside vehi-
cles will help reduce gridiock.
