The 16,!29-square-metre (52,890- square-foot) building’ has until recently housed the North Shore Family YMCA and other community groups including Anna Wyman Schcol of Dance. The YMCA pulled out Aug. 31 when it became necessary to undertake repairs in excess of $500,000 to bring the building up to fire and safety codes. The municipality was also unwilling’ to foot the bill. : “No one’s able to come up, with the money to do such costly renovations.” said Young.
